Deep pink area below 1.7: the blood glucose is extremely low: dangerous . Pink area between 1.7and 3.9: low blood glucose. Area between 3.9 and 6.1: normal fluctuation area of fasting blood glucose. Area between 6.1 and 7.8: impaired fasting glucose tolerance and normal fluctuation area of glucose 2hours after meals Area between 7.8—11.1: if fasting blood glucose values are in this area, diagnosis of diabetes, or if the blood glucose values are in this area 2 hours after meals, the blood tolerance is decreased. Any area more than 11.1: regardless of blood glucose in fasting or after meals, patient has a diagnosis of diabetes. |
