Each value on the DGMS® graph is an average value, calculated from numerous measurements. When analyzing the graph, remember that the accuracy of the result does not lie in each point, but in the whole statistic result. Further, each plot of glucose value on the graph is not equivalent to the value of a finger test; that is because the essence of the graph’s accuracy is found in the calibration method, which is not found in the finger test. The accuracy of all chemical testing equipment depends on the accuracy of the calibration method and the credibility of the standard sample so the accuracy of the biochemical analyzer for glucose measuring is distinct from the measurements of a finger test. Moreover, we have found that glucose clinical testing results in hospitals are systematically higher or lower. The calibration of a DGMS® sensor depends on the reference of blood glucose value once a day, such that the systematic accuracy of equipment in the hospital determines the credibility of the reference blood glucose value tested by medical personnel. And the significance of the graph is to monitor dynamic characteristics, changing trends throughout the course of a day, information, statistical results and the changing rules of the patient’s blood glucose, in order to help aid in diagnosis and treatment.
